On January 17th, 2025 – A delegation from Chinese Research Academy of Environmental Sciences(CRAES) and Strategy 613, visited Belt and Road Research Center of Asian Institute of Technology. The delegation was led by Mr. Gao Jian, Deputy Director, CRAES. Mr. Xiao Nengwen, Deputy Director, CRAES, Mr. Xue Tianshan, Deputy Office Director, CRAES, Ms. Zhang Qiuying, Office Director, CRAES, Ms. Yu Yang, Assistant Researcher, CRAES, Mr. Wen Liang, Post Doc., CRAES and Mr. Leo Horn-Phathanothai, President for Sustainability and Innovation, Strategy 613, Ms. Yu Yin, Advisor, Strategy 613, were in the group.
A meeting was arranged for the visiting delegation with Dr. Wenchao Xue, Director of BRRC, Associate Professor, Academic Chair of Environment Engineering and Management, SET, AIT, and Dr. Ekbordin Winijkul, Associate Professor, Head of Department of Water Resources and Environmental Engineering (WREE), SET, AIT. Prof. Zong Bingnian, from Tongji University who is BRRC collaborator, and Ms. Sai Tang, Program Officer, BRRC, AIT, joined the meeting.
A preliminary discussion on research works related to air pollution and water pollution done by AIT and CRAES, current air pollution project in Bangkok by CRAES, Environmental protection-related initiatives of BRRC, plans for celebrating activities for the 50th anniversary of China-Thailand diplomatic relations and potential areas for collaboration in the future, were carried out in the meeting.
