On April 24,2024– A delegation from The BRI International Green Development Coalition (BRIGC) and China Automotive Technology and Research Center Co., Ltd.(CATARC), visited AIT Belt and Road Research Center. Ms. ZHU Yun, Director of the Department of Partners and Membership Development of the BRI International Green Development Coalition (BRIGC), Ms. ZHANG Min, Senior Engineer of the Department of Partners and Membership Development of the BRI International Green Development Coalition (BRIGC), Dr. Ms. SUN Xin, Chief Expert of China Automotive Technology and Research Center Co.,Ltd.(CATARC) were in the visiting group.
A preliminary communication between BRIGC & CATARC and AIT BRRC was conducted. Introductions of the three parties, Carbon emission regulations for vehicle in Thailand, Belt and Road New Energy Vehicle Cooperation Projects in BRIGC, “Belt and Road” Low-Carbon Vehicle Overseas Pilot Projects of CATARC, have been made during the communication. Discussions are around possible collaborations in the aspects of Green Technology Expo 2024 in Thailand, joint research projects in green technologies, Digital Belt and Road activities, collaborative activities organized by three parties, Double-carbon talents certificate training collaborations, possible collaboration with Thailand local departments and organizations for low carbon standard research and projects, etc.
This exchange and communication between the three parties are effective and fruitful. Joint efforts for collaborations in the future will greatly contribute to BRI development in Thailand and southeast Asia, especially in green technology and low carbon technology. The combined strengths will be a new driver to promote reginal economic innovation and development.
