On April 29th, 2025 – A group of delegation from Kunming University of Science and Technology (KMUST) and Yunnan Provincial Government, visited Belt and Road Research Center of Asian Institute of Technology. The delegation was led by Mr. Dong Rensong, Chairman, CEO of Kunming University of Science and Technology National Science Park Co., Ltd, Chairman of Kunming University of Science and Technology Design & Research Institute Co. Ltd. and Mr. Li Wei, Director of the Professional and Technical Personnel Management Division, Yunnan Provincial Department of Human Resources and Social Security.
A meeting was arranged for the visiting delegation with Dr. Wenchao Xue, Director of BRRC, Associate Professor, Academic Chair of Environment Engineering and Management, SET, AIT. Ms. Sai Tang, Program Officer, BRRC, AIT, was in the meeting with the group. A preliminary discussion focusses on future collaborations on talent cultivation, professional development and management, technology and verification standard transfer, capacity building program collaboration for practitioners in engineering, graduate level exchange programs, etc., were carried out between the two sides. Since the two institutions overlap in many areas and aspects, both sides hold high hopes for future solid cooperations.
