On January 22nd, 2025 – A delegation from China Southwest Architectural Design and Research Institute Co. Ltd. (CSWADI), visited Belt and Road Research Center of Asian Institute of Technology. The delegation was led by Mr. Wang Songtao, Chief Planner, China Southwest Architectural Design and Research Institute Co. Ltd. (CSWADI). Mr. Liu Chongming, Senior Advisor, China State Construction Engineering Co., Ltd. (CSCECTH) and Mr. Zhou Jiayi, Project Manager of Thailand-China HSR Project, China State Construction Engineering Co., Ltd. (CSCECTH) who is BRRC collaborator for the China Thailand High-speed Railway Project, accompanied the group.
A meeting was arranged for the visiting delegation with Dr. Wenchao Xue, Director of BRRC, Associate Professor, Academic Chair of Environment Engineering and Management, SET, AIT, and Prof. Vilas Nitivattananon Professor, Urban Innovation and Sustainability, Department of Development and Sustainability, School of Environment, Resources and Development, AIT, and Ms. Sai Tang, Program Officer, BRRC, AIT, joined the meeting. A preliminary discussion focusses on “Urbanization and Industrial Park development” in Thailand, Collaboration between AIT & CSCEC on Thai-China High Speed Railway Project, and potential areas for collaboration in the future.
