On August 29th, 2024 – Asian Institute of Technology Belt and Road Research Centre facilitated visiting and communication with United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) and Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization (SEAMEO) in Bangkok for the young students of the Beijing Normal University Global Competency Summer Camp.
This visiting and communication experience allow young students from BNU from different social science background (Education, Philosophy, Law, History, Language, etc.) to explore the educational issues and possible solutions from different perspectives and cultivate critical thinking. Through learning about relevant projects and the experience of experts at UNESCO and SEAMEO, students have a deeper understanding of the significance of developing education in achieving sustainable development and better life, especially in Southeast Asia. International organizations, such as UNESCO and SEAMEO, are providing a platform for policy dialogue and promoting project excellence for regional education development.
