On July 19th, 2024 – AIT Belt and Road Research Center (BRRC) visited Nonthaburi Municipality. Dr. Monthip Sriratana, Director, DBAR-ICoE Bangkok, NRCT, facilitated this visit and the meeting. Ms. Pimpan Thanadechakul, Deputy Mayor of Nonthaburi, and other officials from environmental protection division, education division and culture division of Nonthaburi City Municipality, warmly welcomed Dr. Monthip and Dr. Wenchao Xue, Director of AITBRRC and Head of EEM, SET, and Ms. Sai Tang, Program Officer of BRRC.
A preliminary discussion on prospective collaborations between AIT BRRC and Nonthaburi Municipality was conducted, including capacity building programs for professionals from the municipality on environmental protection, such as water canal monitoring and treatment. And exchange program between Chinese local and Nonthaburi Municipality community for cultural communication, which is of vital significance to promote cultural exchange between China and Thailand and strengthen Thai-China relation.
