BRRC Facilitates Exchange and Communication with Department of Marine and Coastal Resource of Thailand for Scholars and Young Students from Zhejiang University

On July 11th, 2024 – Asian Institute of Technology Belt and Road Research Center coordinated a visiting and communication to the Department of Marine and Coastal Resource of Thailand for the Scholars and studying group from Zhejiang University. This trip helps strengthens the connection between AIT BRRC and Department of Marine and Coastal Resource of Thailand, and also paves the way for future collaboration between the two sides.

During the visit, exchange on marine and coastal research in Thailand and China with similar natural and geographical conditions have been carried out, for example, Mangrove protection in the coastal areas. Preliminary communication on the intention for potential cooperation between the parties under the scope of Thailand-China national level collaboration was also done. Students majoring on oceanology from College of Ocean from Zhejiang University did presentations on the findings based on their study trip to coastal areas for study on coastal environmental conditions, mangrove protection, etc., near Pattaya in Thailand.
