On April 17,2024 – The press conference of “Green Tech 2024” was held at the Roadshow Hall of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) Bangkok Innovation and Cooperation Center. Dr. Wenchao Xue, Director of the Belt and Road Research Center of Asian Institute of Technology, attended the event on behalf of Asian Institute of Technology as the co-organizer of this year’s expo.
The event is organized by the Thailand-China Association for Science and Technology (TSAST) and the Shanghai International Trade Promotion Committee (SITPC), and co-sponsored by the Ministry of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Innovation, the Ministry of Industry, the Ministry of Resources and Environmental Protection, as well as the Secretary General’s Office of the China Chamber of International Commerce (CCOIC), the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) Bangkok Innovation and Cooperation Center, the China-Thailand ASEAN Innovation Port (CTIAIP), the Bangkok Center of the Bank of Green Technology (BGGT), and the Chinese General Chamber of Commerce (CGCC). A number of local Thai TV stations and Chinese medias have including People’s Daily, China News, Xinhua Silk Road, etc., reported on the press conference.
The “Green Tech Expo 2024” will be held from October 24 to 26, 2024 at Hall 101-102, Bangkok International Trade and Exhibition Center (BITEC). As an important event showcasing technologies and innovations that will be important to the future of the world, the exhibition is based on the concept of “Driving Sustainable Solutions: Green Technology for Business”, which aims to promote sustainable development programs and the use of green technology for business development. Exhibits will cover a wide range of areas including energy transition, key green technologies, low-carbon mobility, green building exhibits, green agricultural equipment and technologies, biomedicine and healthcare industries, and more. In addition, the exhibition’s participation will take the form of consultation on green energy applications at the industrial and household levels, green technology seminars, policy and promotion seminars, and business cooperation exchange sessions.
As the co-organizer of the “Green Tech Expo 2023” in November 2023, AIT had actively coordinated for the event and contributed to the expert seminar session on the discourse and interactions on sustainable technology. After the meeting and discussion with the main organizer, Thailand-China Association for Science and Technology (TSAST) in the beginning of April, AIT will continue to act as the co-organizer of the event in 2024, contributing to set benchmarks for excellence in green technology and promote the global dialogue on sustainability, and inspire actionable change towards a carbon-neutral future with AIT’s expertise and leadership in sustainable development.
