On 3 March 2023, A group of delegates from Guangzhou Greater Bay Area Modern Industry Development Research Institute (大湾区现代产业发展研究院, MIDRI) led by Mr. CAO Changlin, Executive Director, Mr. ZHONG Xudong, Deputy Director, Ms. ZHENG Meizhen, Director of Education Development Department and Ms. LI Yanqi, Assistant of Education Development Department of MIDRI, have conducted a preliminary communication with Prof. Kazuo Yamamoto, President of Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) and discuss on possible collaborations between two institutes about joint training program, cooperation agreement and new opportunities for jointly co-organize the Belt and Road conference in Thailand.
Guangzhou Greater Bay Area Modern Industry Development Research Institute, China (MIDRI), located in Guangzhou, the capital city of Guangdong Province, is a high-end think tank, with the aim of assisting the government in industrial decision-making and guiding the development of digital-industrial integration. Based in the Greater Bay Area (GBA), MIDRI undertakes major research projects commissioned by national ministries, the Chinese Academy of Engineering and the China Society for Information Economics, as well as provincial and municipal governments, highlighting the development of consulting solutions for the integration of artificial intelligence, digital economy and modern industries.
